Data-Mate: CD and DVD manufacturing plant

Data-Mate Ltd. is a family enterprise founded in 1986. It is an independent DVD and CD manufacturing plant and the only one fully owned by Finns. We specialise in digital media, picture, sound and data disc duplication.

Our contemporary DVD and CD plant and a staff of true professionals guarantee customers the best possible DVD and CD products. Our equipment comprises of the latest technology. The manufacturing time of a CD-DVD disc is only 3.5 seconds so we are able to produce up to 50,000 CDs or DVDs per day. The disc-pressing process guarantees the high quality essential for all our products.

We also offer added value to our products through our silk, offset and digital print services which enable pressing the DVD and CD discs with 6 colours. Our careful packaging method finishes off the quick manufacturing process.

Data-Mate keeps track of all key data of the operation, like production amounts, production capacity, lost units, manufacturing cycles, quality indexes, quality costs and most of all customer feedback. Based on these data we continually raise our quality, reliability of delivery, performance and develop our operations.

The history of the disc plant

  • Data-Mate Ltd. was founded in 1986.
  • The operations at our first CD manufacturing plant started in 1997.
  • A second CD production line was installed in the fall of 1999, which raised our production         capacity for CDs to the top spot in Finland. 
  • With the growing popularity of DVD discs, two Sonic Solutions DVD authoring-mastering studios were installed in 2001.
  • The quality and environmental certificate was secured in 2003 for the DVD and CD manufacturing plant, the only one in Scandinavia.
  • The manufacturing of DVD 5/9/10 discs was started in 2005, the only plant in Finland.
  • In 2006 we became the only CD manufacturer in Finland.
  • In 2008 we invested in a new Sonic Scenarist authoring unit and doubled our production capacity for CD-R and DVD-R discs.
  • The first industrial digital printer was brought into service at Data-Mate in 2008.
  • The copying and pre-printing of USB products and drives started in 2009.
